Options for EnrollmentLast Modified: 07/08/2008 Permanent EasementThis is a perpetuity conservation easement attached to the property deed. This protects the restored wetland for generations in the event the property is sold. As a condition for this enrollment option, the landowner agrees to the permanent retirement of any existing cropland base and allotment history for the easement area. USDA purchases a permanent easement under the following terms:

USDA purchases a 30-year easement under the following terms:
10-Year Restoration Cost-Share AgreementThis is a cost-share agreement to restore and enhance wetlands and acceptable associated uplands with no easement or other land payments involved. USDA pays 75% of the cost of restoration. Landowners enter into a ten year long-term agreement to restore and maintain the site for the life of the restoration practices.
