Interested in becoming a Civil Rights Committee Member?

How does an employee become a member of the Civil Rights Committee?  This is a question asked of the Committee quite frequently.  Current by-laws state that Committee members are appointed by the State Conservationist.  Recommendations from the current Committee members are made to the State Conservationist annually, and he makes the final appointments.  Recommendations are made to keep a diverse membership in grade, location, race, gender, national origin, and discipline.  So, if you are interested in serving on the Committee, let your wishes be known by contacting a current member of the Committee.  Members rotate off annually according to the length of time served.
