Subject: ECS – Cultural Resources Undertaking Review Worksheet

Purpose: To distribute the revised versions of the Cultural Resources Undertaking Review Worksheet.

Expiration Date: September 30, 2008

Action Required: Discard previous version and save revised version dated 03/28/08 for immediate use.

The Cultural Resources Undertaking Review Worksheet has been revised and should now be more field office friendly. Some changes that affect the field offices include:

• Check if undertaking is on public land – a Local checkbox has been added.
• Under Item 1, Field No. has been changed to allow up to 12 characters and use of subfield identifiers and commas.
• Under Item 3 for practices, a “No.” column has been added, where applicable, for practices whose unit of measure is “number.” An additional line has been added for listing practices.
• Under Item 5, Digital Photographs has been altered using “bold font.” Digital photos should be taken whenever possible, and must be included if a permit is required. This will help expedite the permitting process.

To help expedite the permit process, ensure that this completed worksheet is included with the reviewing Archaeologist’s signature.
