Welcome to the three states of Tennessee. The natural division of Tennessee is east, middle and west. The cropping patterns, topography and to some degree, the culture of the state, divide along those lines. The Tennessee River forms the border between middle and west, and the Cumberland Plateau forms the border between middle and east.

Tennessee is blessed with abundant natural resources and a proud agricultural history. We take great pride in the conservation accomplishments that the Natural Resource Conservation Service and our many partners have made in recent years. Tennessee, like many other states in the sunbelt, is facing a challenge with rapid growth and a demand for nontraditional agriculture production.   We hope you will utilize this web page to get a better understanding and appreciation for all that Tennessee is, and will become.
